Martin trying to understand what goes on on his laptop

Martin von Haller Groenbaek is a Copenhagen-based lawyer specialised in IT-law. He is a partner and co-founder of Bender von Haller Dragsted, a leading Scandinavian IT-law boutique.

Martin has within the last eight years been advising clients on different legal as well as commercial aspects of developing and using open source software. He is considered the leading legal practitioner of open source law in Denmark.

He is the co-founder and a board member of the Danish Open Source Vendors Association (OSL). He is member of the Free Software Foundation Europe’s legal network and is on the editorial board of the International Free and Open Source Software Law Review (IFOSSLR).

Martin is under number of boards of startups and small and medium sized Danish IT-companies. Since 2005 his been appointed to several commissions, committees and other boards by government or industry organization regarding IT policy issues and entrepreneurship.

Martin lives in Admiral Gjeddes Gaard in the center of Copenhagen with his wife and two kids (and an old cat).
